Paul Cohen:

If we look back, it's probably the most important aspect – the human capital that has been developed in individuals as they have begun to build up their skills base – as well as the social or organizational capital. The fact that, as a small group of people who have begun to build a social capital and begin to benefit from the value that we bring together as a group of people, where the whole is bigger than the sum of the part.

It does take a lot of time to build trust – and it does grow, if we cultivate it, like a tree. If we water the tree, it grows. And I think some of these human values, like trust, are linked to that type of a system, and therefore might be different to how we do things in the conventional system, in mainstream, where often there isn't the time to invest in the growth of systems on a biological timescale.
