Paul Cohen:
Sometimes if we look at a tree growing, it's hard to tell the size of the root under the ground. And I think, in South Africa, we have that happening. There's a lot happening in the root structure many people doing excellent work, applying permaculture and similar technologies to their local situations.
So I think what's happening in South Africa is that we are accumulating, rapidly, experience on how this technology can be applied in a variety of circumstances. And we're coming up with the ground-based technology for wider-scale replication.
We don't know exactly how long it's going to take, based on the availability of resources at the current time. And most of the work is happening at the grassroots level with individuals who are doing the hard work, most of the time with very little resources. So there is going to be time involved in trying to bring some of these ideas forward.
