Through the Woman's Awareness Center Nepal, women in Nepal are leading a movement to boost the standard of living among the poor, and to build a just and equal society in this relatively impoverished, isolated nation. Their efforts are complicated by ongoing conflict between government troops and Maoist insurgent groups.
