It is a beneficial e-mail whose income is destinated to finance programs and actions in favor of most underprivileged anywhere in the world. Strategy - how it achieves impact: The benmail mail accounts have two formats: @benmail.org and xxx.benmail.org.

In the first option, benefic and safe mail (protected with anti-virus and anti-Spam) With thouse accounts you may:

send mail gratuitously to external benmail Internet area

only admit mail sent by other benmail users or coming from domains authorized by the Foundation through collaboration agreements. For example, the domains of supply companies - water, gas, telephone -, city councils or important stores.

make a microdonation to the Foundation by each sent mail to other benmail users

The logic says that spammers doesn't pay to send their junk mail.

In the second option: benefic standard mail (protected with anti-virus and anti- Spam) working as a standard e-mail

Strategy - growth plans: We are working to expand the system showing benmail to the companies staffs. Also, we are asking for the NGO's to collaborate including benmail advertisements in their publications, and inviting to their supporters to use benmail. The most important economic Spanish newspaper includes a benmail new last january (see the link, please). We need to someone that finance an advertising campaign. An automatic system is included in benmail. Impact to date: benmail has been started last month of march 2006. Our aim is to finance other Foundations and ONG's projects with the generated income.

Future impact: Ten years is a lot of time, but if benmail growth works well it can be an habitual mail system with millions of mails per day...And each mail contibutes with 2 euro cents.

Sustainability - resource base: This project has been started up and financed by the Fundación Benefic Mail Foundation president and founder, Mr Eduardo Gutiérrez López that is doing all the work that the Foundation generates. Nowadays, we have 9 benefators that pays 147 euros monthly. Some initial users are paying donations. The rest of monthly expenses are payed by the founder.
