Universal Peace through Quality Education-Kano Stand a Begining
Posted November 6 '06, 7:20:52
The Kano Stand Up event was a tremendous effort to achieve an awareness amongst the people in the developing nation like Nigeria.A humble begining by a long standing crusader against poverty and illiteracy. Finally his years of unstinted determination towards educating the underpriveldged of our civilzation has come to light in a country far away from his own.Inspite of worst adversities and opposition from all corners from his own people, he continued his selfless service.Kudos to his inexhaustible dedication towards service to the humanity as a whole.

It is really remarkable to achieve such type of huge participation from African government structure - teacher and education department as a whole. It requires lots of patience and positiveness about such type of event to be organized. Though it will not have direct impact on poverty, but it will have long term impact on community at large and will help in reaching to our objectives of basic education through changes in attitudes, and which is more sustainable.

Linking the Present to the Future
Posted November 16 '06, 5:45:02
The effort is unique in itself as it links the children to the development at an early age. Moreover that are a part of the UN fight against poverty under the Millenium Development Goals. Being recognised by the Guiness Book of World Records is just a step towards encourging the effort. But it is like building the future capturing the present that too in the education sector. The SUBEB KANO Officials have taken an unique approach to development. The same could be replicated elsewhere extending classroom teaching to real life problems of the World Today. The approach may in future lead us to a stage where Behaviour Change is not longer the focus as the Right Behaviour is already inculcated in children who are the future of tomorrow.

Its really a great effort to organise such a huge people under one roof to stand for poverty. Congrulations for all the effort Mr.Hemanta Naik, it also should be surprise for anyone who know Mr.Naik, that he can do it.
