Innovation - idea: We provide the vehicle for all nonprofits to raise money. We call it "Fundraising For the 21st Century". All of our programs enable charitable organizations to raise money without asking anyone for money.www.FundraisingForABetterWorld.org
Innovation - why it is pioneering: Most of our fundraising programs and services are internet based. All the charity has to do is have their members and associates buy products and services on the nonprofits website. When they do so, the nonprofit makes money!
Strategy - how it achieves impact: We currently send a bi-monthly newsletter out to the 3,500 largest charities - The ones listed on Charity Navigator www.CharityNavigator.com. We are also forming the World Nonprofit Association which will enable us as an Association to buy products and services directly from manufacturers.www.WorldNonProfitAssociation.org
Strategy - growth plans: Ultimately we would like to advertise to 1.5 million+ nonprofits, enabling all of them to raise money for their cause. We are looking to empower mostly retired people to create their own program that they can be passionate about and develop their program into helping to make the world a better place. As a We, The World Consultant I try to bring passion to their life. I may ask what they didn't feel they had as a child growing up and many times that will help them trigger their passion. As We, The World Consultants we are empowering one person at a time, so we are always reaching our goalhttp://www.charityadvantage.com/We_The_WorldHFZ JEA/WTWCharityConsultants.asp
Impact to date: Absolutely. Now we work with nonprofits and help them build their nonprofits from the inside out. It starts with the board members. Each board member should either be a large financial contributor, or spending a majority of his/her time working for their nonprofits cause.http://www.charityadvantage.com/We_The_WorldHFZ JEA/GlobalLeaders.asp
Future impact: What we are doing is creating awareness. I believe in 10 years from now people will judge one another not by what they are doing for a living, but what they are doing to make the world a better place. In that regard, we all start out equal. Personally, I am going to have more respect for a ditch digger that helps with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, then a retired Judge who just plays golf everyday. http://www.charityadvantage.com/We_The_WorldHFZ JEA/AGLOBALTHOUGHT.asp
Sustainability - resource base: We are hoping to create 1000's if not millions of programs all run by volunteers. There is no money needed, as each person finances their own program. However, most of these programs just take time and not money. As an example, if a little old lady was good in art and she just decided to get together a couple of friends and teach them how to paint, in her own way she is making the world a better place. If a person is in charge of their own program they will give 110%. I recommend each nonprofit ask their volunteers to present programs to their organization that will help raise awareness and help their cause. We look for leaders to create other leaders. Once their program is off and running we have a We, The World Charity Consultant sell their "Volunteer Job" to a Philanthropist, Corporation, Celebrity, etc for funding. http://www.charityadvantage.com/We_The_WorldHFZ JEA/GlobalLeaders.asp
Major challenge for the field: Just getting the word out to all nonprofit organizations. If they know what wwwFundraisingForABetterWorld.org is all about, there is absolutely no reason they would not want to be involved. Again, these programs cost the nonprofit nothing to get involved, they can only make money. http://www.charityadvantage.com/We_The_WorldHFZ JEA/GTGlobalTravel.asp
