5) Description of initiative: Development of a scientific methodology of conflict resolution (first and second semester)

1. Isolation, clearance, determination and application of principles, laws, teachings and main/essential/important facts of the following physic, mathematic, computer, scientific and social theories. Viability of application of physics, math, computer, scientific and social lines/areas/theories mentioned in 1 point to the researched situation of violence/conflict (Report 2) ; 3. Development/elaboration of a first ser of possible partial solutions and a definite theory of possible solutions in the real progress of the researched situation of violence/conflict ( Report 3 ); 4. Preparation/publication of 6 brochures/booklets/tools and didactic materials, very original and unique, based on points 1., 2., and 3.: 4.1. Solar Eco-industrial park as ideal environment to promote world peace; 4.2. Didactic innovative and unique methods of self-esteem, self-assessment, self-teaching and self- learning; 4.3. Didactic innovative and unique methods of self-gratification, self-improvement and self- transformation; 4.4. Training on personal spirituality; 4.5. Cosmic/universal meaning of a process of detoxification of violence, hate, resentment, vengeance and conflict; 4.6. Advanced consolidation of personal cosmic/universal spirituality

6) Description of innovation: Mi Initiative/Project:

- It is based on the systematic application of laws, basic principles and important facts of physic, math, computer, scientific and social theories (see point 1. above); - Its optimizes the relation cost/benefit from the candidate’s point of view, or potential user/beneficiary of my initiative/project (people that live/suffer conflict intensely); - It is executively shocking, attractive and interesting for people in conflict; - Focuses the intrinsic origin of violence and conflict situations. It reaches the vibrant strings of the most intimate part of the human spirit and soul. It sows the most favorable seeds for peace and progress, mainly within the interior receptacles of the mind, intellect, and human personalities, and later in the external and real scenarios of conflict; - First, it prepares a reform of the thought, later, thinks and proposes social reforms;

- It is transparent, with no lies or deception, or ulterior and masked ends.

In short: A. It contributes unique educative grass –roots materials of technical, mathematical, computer, scientific and social nature with a new methodological scientific focus.

B. It tries a projection of people towards the highest levels of social/existential spirituality.

C. It generates a basic didactic material of support that can and must collaborate with all other initiatives, projects and programs of peace currently existent in the world.

The totality of traditional peace initiatives, noble and laudable, depart from a start point that is it not the real start point: they disregard many premises and elements that are hardly ever given in reality and are not reliable data. Frequently many things are disregarded as something that is safe and easy to obtain and has been already done. Nothing is easy when it is about the eternal conflict between good and evil, between intrigues and cooperation, between peace and war. The facts must be scientifically, existentially, socially and spiritually built, conquered and guaranteed.

7) Delivery model: Practical application of a scientific methodology of resolution through 6 brochures/booklets of point 4. (third, fourth, fifth and sixth semester):

My initiative/project is directed to:

i). Every person, or group, or staff or representatives of associations that are leaders or have an important position, or a position of high responsibility within their organization that is in conflict with other organizations or groups;

ii). People or groups that agree in a spontaneous and voluntary manner to subdue to this initiative/project of self-assessment/self-transformation/self-improvement in function of a possible solution to a situation of violence/conflict; 7.1. First work sessions (in Costa Rica): Familiarization with the concepts of peace processes, detoxification of violence, personal spiritual progress, training of the healthy free will, reinforcement of superior voluntary processes, integral personal growth, etc.; during three weeks, a session every other day, two hours per session; talks, round tables, discussions, perspective exchanges, very active participation of candidates (people that live in conflict) with relaxing and eco-tourist tours in the country and official visits to institutions and very special places.(Report 5); 7.2. Second round of work sessions (in the country of candidates/users/beneficiaries): During three weeks, a session every three days, two hours per session; with talks, round tables, discussions, perspective exchange, very active participation of candidates, with official visits to institutions and very special places of the country, with mutual proposals of immediate actions and future activities, with possible mutual proposals of resolution of conflict, etc.(Report 6); 7.3. Measurement/registration of real and practical preliminary results obtained in a real, current and chronic case (maximum two cases). (Report 7); 7.4. Analysis/discussion/optimization of activities of points 7.1., 7.2. Y 7.3. and conclusions (Report 8); 7.5. Delivery to Ashoka of the socio-technical-financial results obtained with the initiative/project (all previous partial reports).

Adequate academic environment for work sessions, talks, relax, rest, discussions, negotiations, self-assessment, self-analysis, learning if new ecology technologies, new technological experiences, new socialization techniques, socio-spiritual growth, detoxification of violence, etc.

9) Financial model: I recommend that beneficiary/user candidates, that live in conflict, both in the relation with its possible participation in the first work sessions in Costa Rica (point 7.1) and in relation with the second round of sessions (point 7.2) contribute their own financing for trips, food and lodging. This initiative/project, if accepted by Ashoka, will only contribute to certain number of sets of the 6 brochure/booklets/tools and didactic materials of point 4 above, for all users/beneficiaries/candidates, both within and outside Costa Rica.

          • Costs as percentage of income: -

          • Financing: The initiative/project does not generate profit, but it is totally devoted and directed to the possible solution of conflicts and situations of violence in the world, at any regional scale. In the long term, if this initiative/project is successful, there will be left over financing sources so that this innovative program be permanent and self- sustainable.

10) Effectiveness

          • Project outcomes: This specific project has not been executed yet: this is the first time that I have formulated, designed, structured and prepared it “ad-hoc”.

          • Number of clients in past year: Completely non applicable question: because of what it has been said above. Very, very indirectly, thousands of industrial students, participants in conferences and seminars, general public, relatives, acquaintances, etc. have benefited. (See attached document of my brief profile and personal CV).

11) Scaling up strategy

          • Stage of the initiative: Scaling Up stage.

          • Expansion plan: In case this initiative/project receives the approval of Ashoka: all points from 4) to 9) described above. It is a line of compromise/work/dedication/effort/abnegation absolutely necessary for all societies, populations, groups and modern nations.
