Main principle addressed: Introduce novel uses of technologies
5) Description of health product/service offering: AIDS; all HIV carriers; a new isoopathic remedy; the extremly low costs for the production of this remedy can save millions of human lifes no matter what income the persons have
6) Description of innovation: based on a new theory about the origin of AIDS a unique concept of treatment and the necessary isopathic remedy were developped
7) Operational model: private without any organization; until now there is no structure to reach low-income people in foreign countries besides private activities
8) Human resources: 3 medical doctors and nature scientists
9) Key operational partnerships: none
10) Financial Sustainability
• Fees charged to clients?: No
• How do you assure affordability?: not necessary
• Earned incomes as a percentage of operating costs: 0
• Other funding sources: fund raising
• Strategy for long-term sustainability: the collected money of only one of the big AIDS initiatives would be enough to distribute the remedy worldwide
11) Current and Future Impact
• Total number of clients: 30
• Clients in the past year: none
• Percentage of low-income clients: 90
• Impact: behavior change
• Overall "market": depends where the remedy will pass medical admission; on principal any country or any place in the world can benefit
12) Scaling up strategy
• Stage of the initiative: Start Up stage.
• Expansion plan: actually no expansion plans
13) Policy change: change in the way of thinking about medical problems
14) Origin of the initiative: 2 medical doctors and 1 biology/chemistry teacher started
to think about the fact, why it was and is not possible to
develop a remedy on AIDS; this led to the creation of a
theory, the trial to proove this theory by developping a
remedy and the application to AIDS patients within a pilot
study in Europe and Africa. The results have been
published in several medical papers.
