4) Description of the operational model: Kenya had and to date still has a problem of poverty, external debt crisis and need to increase incentive for stimulating export and import trade Urban and rural economic disparities are wide because the Agricultural sector is still subsistence .Agriculture is still the main stay of Kenya’s economy supporting more than 90% of the population Kenya is still a net importers of agricultural products. Kenya is endowed with black cotton soil that is suitable for growing cotton, Incidentally Nyanza where Nyando,Rarienda and Siaya Ditricts are endowed with this type of soil .Since the project will be piloted in Nyanza province it will have adequate cotton from its leading cotton growing areas and since the demand for the product form basic daily needs i.e. cloths cooking oil and soap there will high demand. The product will enjoy its lucrative ready market that will be influenced by beneficiaries of the micro-finance and every beneficiary will be enrolled to formed cooperative members and globally will take advantage of the tangible incentives for African countries to continues their effort to open their economies and build free market in the most liberal access to U.S and other developed countries market “A summary AGOA 1&2”. The innovative characterization of the operational model: (a) Market resource centers? It will be situated in all pilot region where farmers can get market information of their product buy the by-product at subsidized cost than other, get social educative information on HIV/AIDS and. (b) shares assurance scheme ? The scheme is designed to enable farmers through their saving in the cooperatives be advised and assist to buy shares from others investment company and other governmental cooperation and also within the program in which they will have first priorities

5) Description of the financial model: Our module is highly innovative and out of the box. As a result low-income individuals gets the start up capital to start business at favourable grace period and the most attractive feature of the this program is that its self- sustainable and expansive If implemented in the right manner.

Client fees represent this approximate percentage of operational budget: 5%

6) Key operational partnership: : The operational partnerships are our GoK(Ministry of Agriculture,Ministy of labour )EPZ Athi-River farmers coperative societies and other organizations devoted to such a noble cause. It basically calls for innovative thinking and changing the mindset of community in general and people at large.

7) Current outreach:

  • We are at the Start Up stage. We are at the Start Up stage. The pilot testing of the module was started with tailoring machine for dress making project .The project is at stage with current activities of Tailoring and Merry-go-round (Revolving Loans fund scheme) commonly practiced by low –income groups which is extremely restricted small amount of initial capital investment and there is a long waiting period for ones turn to come up hence few people have had the opportunity

  • How many clients have benefited from your product/service in total? Over the last year? The project is at a start up stage with current activities of Tailoring and Merry-go-round (Revolving Loans fund scheme) commonly practiced by low –income groups which is extremely restricted small amount of initial capital investment and there is a long waiting period for ones turn to come up hence few people have had the opportunity

  • What percentage of your clients is below the poverty line ($2 per day)? 58% most kenyans are less than$1 per day)? 57.9% and than $2 is almost 65%

  • What is the order of magnitude of the potential demand for your products or services? Which
other low-income groups, countries or regions could benefit from it? Try to quantify (number
of clients, market size in currency):

Our application of this project has high demand nationally and internationally since the Advert of AGOA offer most liberal market access to the west and Kenya is a key importers of textile and other Agricultural product and since will be locally made garment and other textile product, we will utilize the market monopoly nationally and within East African State and other African state which import their textile product via Kenyans port .Kenya is also ranked among the leading cotton growing zone which mean it will utilize the market of other non-cotton growing countries.

    8) Scale-up strategy:

  • How many low-income individuals do you plan to benefit in three years from now? How are you planning to scale up or replicate your solution? What are the major constraints to scale up?
Kenya a like most African countries is still ranked as Less Developed Country (LDC).The country recorded 0.1% during the decade proceeding the year 2002.That poor performance represent 6.5% per anum and such drop-up resulted into increased poverty ,unemployment and vulnerability to HIV/AIDS in different sectors .The program will tend to promote employability and reduce poverty level, promote development of small entrepreneurs within the pilot program areas .Its going to target farmers, small textile industry, youths and other low-income groups with an estimate beneficiary of 30% of total population of the selected pilot areas in three years .The program, if given enough support, right kind of platform in the respective countries and an appropriate infrastructure, can be replicated nationally and to other less developed countries that are taking advantage of the tangible incentives for African countries to continues their effort to open their economies and build free market in the most liberal access to U.S and other developed countries market “A summary AGOA 1&2”.The biggest challenge the present market is overwhelm by importation of dumped second hand cloths from industrial countries

  • Which specific areas - and why - in your field would benefit most from investment by corporations, foundations, and other investors:
Kenya is agriculturally viable nation and much of the industries thrived due to Agriculture and due to poor management of Agriculture most industries collapse .Starting such design self sustainable project in Agricultural sector might enable other collapse industries to rise i.e KICOMI.Consdereing our project model on micro- finance initiative, it will give enabling environment for other small scale business to thrive and this will improve country Gross Domestic Production The project is designed to work with low-income individual to improve quality of life and for that its substitute the international community effort zeroed poverty at grassroots level

    9) The organization: How does the initiative fit with your overall organization's strategic goals and priorities? How did the initiative start?
We have started the organization with A goal of strengthening and support building of Economically sustainable communities where development space is guaranteed and information Gap bridged through provision for economical and social services for Human development and this project form a basis of empowering low-income earners socially and economicaly. The project was derived from the plight and state of severe poverty Along the Lake Victoria Region despite being the most Agriculturally fertile area with biggest permanent irrigation water mass and its strategic position to other countries One of the trustee / Director studied the problem for six months, made pilot trials with selected youth groups and made the module economically sound and self sustaining. We are now hoping to get support and lunch it in major district of cotton growing.

    10) On the mosaic diagram, which of these factors is the primary focus of your work?
Factor: Limited purchasing power of individual clients
Principle: Design products and services that tap into the wealth of poor
Other: We would like to make the project model to be replicated in other Less Developed Countries
