In addition, There are a number of factors which make a survivor an activist. Though socio-economic rehabilitation is very important, creating a sense of self-respect, dignity, and social status makes the difference in the survivor's lives. The simple factor is that survivors always be striving for social and legal justice against the atrocities happened on them. Secondly, they need someone who really accompany them as soulmates in midst of all social challenges on the way of their reintegration into the society. Removing the guilt consciousness is also possible when we extend our support through non-judgemental means. For most of the people, recognising themselves with the survivors of trafficking has been an issue, which they think would hamper their social image. In our experience, the activists have come out of the survivors, only because of our personal identity with the survivors on the public arena fighting for their socio-legal justice. Due to this struggle, lot more people are changing their pre-conceived thoughts and joining our campaign.
