Grand Approach to Curtailing Human Trafficking.

Country: Nigeria

Innovation: well this is purely a grand innovative srategy against trafficking becuase it address it right from it root causes which is basically the love of money. this innovation has recognise the main parties and the designated places involve. putting this in mind i have been able to formulate a grand approach.

Impact: if this innovation is read and clearly undertood it could go on a long in reducing if not exterminating human trafficking. it has provided solutions which are eligible both locally and internationally. and for any country to behonest enough to apply this i think ther is an assurance of curtailing human trafficking

Tipping Point: Human trafficking can be frankly defined as the selling and buying of a person or group of people with or without the prior agreement or knowledge of the person or the group of people from a place or locality familiar to them, to another place unfamiliar with the whole purpose of making money illegally. Human trafficking is one of the problems of our modern society and it has given a lot of headache to those concerned with the safety and easy going of the world and the world at large. Trafficking like most evil that has ravage our society have its root cause in money. The most paramount reason for human trafficking is money. This can be attributed to poverty, which like a disease has eaten deep into the economy of developing nations. Per capital income of most developing nations are very low and most family live below $1 a day. This has accounted for high rate of poverty in those countries with low per capital income. It automatically leads to a dilapidated economy. The poor economy also leads to economic strangulation, which is another underlying factor responsible for human trafficking. Economic strangulation as the name implies might really suggest an economy that is been grabbed by both hands till every atom of live in it is gone. This has forced most people in such an economy to adopt ýwhatever it takes ý notion as their slogan for survival. This slogan inculcates in the trinity of their being (body, spirit and soul) tends to drive their every moves and this forms basis of their thinking till they finally meet this social menace called trafficking as the solution to their misery. Lack of employment and underemployment, which are some of the monster that put up their ugly faces in a poor economy, are also responsible for trafficking. Mostly when a person lacks employment or is underemployed for a long time in an environment that offers little or no opportunity for a better state, their sense of making sound decision is often susceptible to the deceitful tongues of the traffickers. However until recently there has been no adequate constitutional law against trafficking. This has given traffickers the free hand to operate. Having discussed the various causes of trafficking it could be quite essential to know what it really involves. Human trafficking as assume the form of a trade usually between two designated places: Undeveloped and develop countries Meager nations and rich nations Basically human trafficking involves three parties; the traffickers, the traffickees and the parents /guardian of the traffickees. The traffickers are the numerous agents that exist in both urban centers and developed countries. They develop various method of catching their prey (traffickees). The professional requirements, envelopes skills and expertise, use in taming of traffickees to obey their orders. The traffickees are the victim of human trafficking. They are the one that usually find themselves between the devil and the deep blue sea. They are caught in a terrible state of dilemma and their present predicament as a trafficked may or may not be attributed to they themselves. A trafficked can be tricked by the deceitful tongues of the traffickers, as in the case of a girl who was promised by a trafficker that he will take her to Italy to study but on getting there she was evidently forced into a big time prostitute. Several ways have been identifying in which trafficked get into the traps of the traffickers. In most underdeveloped countries, economic recession, economic strangulation low per capital income has contributed to a high level of poverty amongst it populace. Therefore most families have to face real life struggle for survival and to compound their troubles unemployment plague the land like a disease

Replication: The greedy search for money and success will almost always lead men into unhappiness. Human trafficking like other problems man had face through the ages has it solutions. The first thing to do in solving a problem is to identify its causes its causes. Considering all these facts we could all have one question throbbing our mind, ýwhat are the ways of ending human trafficking?ý Public enlightenment on various issues that affect the society has become a necessity in our modern world and various techniques of enlightenment have been developed with time. It is also one of the main reasons why the economy of the developed countries are IT driven. In congnisance to human trafficking, the government, the media the various NGOs and the people at large should take it upon themselves to be potential enlightenment mercenaries. Traffickers should be enlightened, made to understand and realize that they are trafficking human being like themselves and not dogs. If they could be treating their fellow human being like this, how do they want god to treat them? They should ask themselves the frank question of ýif it were to be a member of their family that is meted out with such inhumane treatment as trafficking?ý the sincere truth is that not any of the traffickers would like to be a traffickee themselves. Then why still in the business. People should be made to realize the dangers in trafficking. Most of the parents who hand over their children to traffickers never realize there is any danger in it. In fact they consider themselves of a good luck and believed their child is going to a land flowing with milk and honey. This misconception is greatly credited to illiteracy. Traffickees should also be told the open truth of injuries they are doing themselves by been trafficked. In the case of prostitution the traffickees could probably contact S.T.D. and there is high risk of abortion to think about. For those serving as maid servant and male servant, the firs of their misery is no sense of belonging and others dangers like abuse and sexual harassment are been face. Generally a traffickee has a low sense of self-esteem. It might take a long time and great effort like rehabilitation to regain it. People should be taught the dignity in self-reliance, rather than wasting precious time dreaming about oversea paradise. Every calling is great when greatly pursued,ý says Oliver Wendell Holmes. The fact is that instead of forming long queues under heavy downpour /hot sunshine, to secure visas at acclaimed eldorados of time and in frustration falling into hands of the sophisticated agents of trafficking, people should be encourage to start small & medium scale enterprise [SME] which will be a source of income to them and the same time improving countries economy. In conclusion to enlightenment, awareness campaign should be organized on birth control. Instead of breeding numerous children like a hen, which wonýt be taken care of, it is better to apply birth control mechanism and therefore eliminating talent wastage through improper care of children Education is another good way of curtailing human trafficking. Perhaps if the parents of the affected child is educated enough to know the dangers behind trafficking and what it is all about, they couldnýt have venture into it. Then essentially government should provide free education so that children of the poor can evidently be educated. Educational institution should be well equipped with facilities. Money is the root of all evil so says the age long adage. Lack of money has ravaged several people across the world and this condition is technically called poverty. If the whole world should concentrate on alleviating poverty, I think trafficking could be reduced if not exterminated. The government of affected countries should lay emphasis on creating jobs and employment. They should establish cottage industries in the rural areas to create jobs for people. Skills acquisition centers should be set up by the government for youths who can go to school to learn trade and thereafter provide loans to start business for them. Graduates should be self-employed. Notable philanthropist, NGOs and the rich who have the easy living, well being and peace of these world in mind could help by contributing money for poverty alleviation and could probably create wealth & employment by establishing industries & SME in their communities. They could also help in enlightening the people. In places like Africa where traditional rulers holds high respect, they could be great tools in stopping human trafficking. The traditional rulers and chiefs should be commissioned with enlightening their people. They should also be mobilized and carried along in the fight against trafficking. The government and private organizations for traffickees returning home from abroad, especially those who have been trafficated to do prostitution, should also set up rehabilitation centres. This should be done before they are absorbed back into the larger society. It is necessary to do this in other to change their orientation about life positively and restore back their self-esteem.

Sustainability: It should be noted that while most of this these solutions in respect to awareness are not yielding result because of the method employed. Millions of money are claimed to be spent annually by some government with respect to public enlightenment on trafficking, quite all right but their methods are not rewarding because it is ot for educationaly deprived people who are incidentally the most affected. Finally the government can put an end to all these permanently and drive human trafficking to a fast extinction by having a powerful constitutional law against trafficking. Where there is no law there is no sin, so therefore let the constitution of each country be adequate enough to combat trafficking. Government of various countries should me
