Dixit Road Municipal School and Jamnabai Narsee School have been partnering in the Twinning Programs since 1991.

A class seven (seventh grade) student at Dixit Road Municipal School reflects on her experience:

"Before meeting the Jamnabai School children, we were full of doubts and were worried as to what would happen in the interaction with students from that posh school. But after working closely with them, chatting and playing various games together, we realized that they were just like us.

"We had a lot of fun together and really enjoyed ourselves. Since we come from the same locality, we often meet each other. Earlier, we would not have known each other but now we exchange greetings and talk about school."

Her counterpart at Jamnabai Narsee School says:

"I realized that there was no problem in communication, and the gap between the rich and the poor was not a real barrier. In fact, I made new friends and realized no matter how poor a person might be, he or she is not poor in the heart and that is what is important".
