Zahabia Godrawala, now a college student in Mumbai (Jai Hind College, Arts student), looks back on his experience in MelJol:
"I was in Class VII (eighth grade) at St Anne's school when I participated in MelJol's Twinning Program, and it completely changed my outlook on life. I became aware of all these other kids really came to understand their lives, the challenges they faced.
"I've also become increasingly interested in social programs and have done short stints at various projects. Right now, I am a regular volunteer at Seva Niketan, a rehabilitation center for mentally challenged patients.
"I get enormous satisfaction from being able to reach out to others. And I know that the MelJol experience was a major factor in pushing me in this direction. It taught me to look outside of myself, to empathize with the different situations of others."
