Solving Water Problems: A Smart Commons Mosaic

Here's an opportunity to share your experiences and ideas for making communities more effective stewards of water resources, build a new framework that solves water problems, and learn about the key innovations in this field. We invite you to participate in the Smart Commons Mosaic – a method for creating solutions to the world's water-related problems where you:: examine a selection of best solutions from around the world (see the mosaic graphic below);
spot emerging patterns in this mosaic that reveal how to serve the interests of different interest groups who share water resources, as well as environmental needs, and;
discuss this process online as part of a global community that is deeply engaged in water issues, so we can build the Smart Commons together.
The Smart Commons is the goal: creating a way to balance demands for water in ways that are optimally matched with water resources. But, also it is three key processes:
bringing together different – and often disconnected – parties with competing interests to
search for solutions that balance the needs of all plus the needs of the environment;
establishing a negotiating framework that supports this process; and
